The Resources of Cultural Internationalism

Cultural trend has become acutely relevant in the 19th and 20th century, especially after the end of World War I and again in recent years. Cultural internationalism is 'the idea that world order can and should be defined through interactions at the cultural level across national boundaries'. From this point of view, an alternative view of world order has often been created by artists, writers, thinkers, popular movements and civil society organisations which is often in contrast the view of a world system dominated by great powers and the realist demands of geopolitics.

No wonder that during 2 last centuries the cultural exchange has been extremely active in spite of all regional and global conflicts. Nothing is able to stop the culture as it has no exact paved way but thousands of invisible non-material channels. I suppose you would agree with the idea that international cooperation goes well beyond relations between nation states.

It becomes especially evident in the second half of the 20th century with the advanced development of mass-media and Internet. The latter phenomenon almost completely solves the problem of geography making communication available on the 24-hour basis.

Cultural internationalism is an absolutely peaceful phenomenon that is stipulated to be realized through a mechanism of legal, economic and cultural set of laws. The foundation of cultural internationalism is the exchange of cultural resources on lawful business.
